Polar Plunge
Participation with Winter Fest 2011:
The 2011 Polar Plunge will start at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, at Ohuta Park (City Beach in Lake City, MN).
Information and Rules:
*Plungers will jump in order of registration. Please pre-register on-line if at all possible.
*There will be a maximum of two plungers at a time due to safety issues.
*You can either plunge as an individual or as a fund-raising team.
*If you are under 18 years of age, your parent must be present.
*Each plunger must register and sign a waiver (forms below).
*We are asking that each plunger have a minimum of $20 of pledges. If you jump as a team you will still be required to have a minimum of $20 of pledges per person. (Example: A 4-person team would need to raise a minimum of $80 total.)
*Money will be due the day of the jump. The proceeds of this event will be split 50-50 between the Lake City Food Shelf and the Lake City Nursing Home.
*Each plunger should wear shoes and bring a towel.
*A hot tub will be available afterward for plungers along with heated tents.
