PRESS RELEASE Public chooses "Tangled", Movie by Moonlight moves to Underwood Park
Lake City, Minn. – Movie by Moonlight, an outdoor movie event, presented by Lake City Better Futures (LCBF) and scheduled for Saturday, August 20th starting around 8:30 p.m. will be moved to Underwood Park, due to continued construction at Bluff View Elementary. Pre-show games, activities and prizes will begin at 7:30 p.m.
"Tangled" will be the feature presentation of the 4th Annual Movie by Moonlight on Saturday, August 20th. 49 percent of votes cast either online or at the Lake City Public Library were for the Walt Disney animated feature starring voices of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi and Donna Murphy. Despicable Me received 32 percent of the votes and Yogi Bear received 19 percent of the votes.
Tangled tells the story of a kingdom’s most wanted – and most charming- bandit Flynn Rider and Rapunzel, a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Rapunzel, looking for her ticket out of the tower where she’s been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs.
There will be no admission fee to the movie thanks to the generosity of many area businesses including platinum sponsors Anytime Fitness, Hansen’s Harbor, Lake Hits 95 and Wild Wings.
