LCBF Social Event with LC Business Invigoration Guest Speakers:  Owners of Anytime Fitness - Jeff and Teri Bissonnette
Polar Plunge proceeds - donation presentations.
Members of Lake City Better Futures recently presented a $1,165 check to the Lake City Food Shelf. The donation represents half of the proceeds from the Polar Plunge event hosted during Winter Fest in January 2011.
Because the donation was made in March, it will be matched by the federal government!Members of Lake City Better Futures recently presented a $1,165 check to Lake City Medical Center – Mayo Health System. The funds are earmarked for the medical center’s Life Matters Here plan to renovate the nursing home. Many people came to socialize with old friends, and meet some new ones while joining LCBF at Port 104 for their Social Event and Lake City Business Invigoration guest speakers: Jeff and Teri Bissonnette - owners of Anytime Fitness in Lake City.

November 30 (Wed), 7 PM - LCBF Age Limitations Removed
With a motion and a second, Article 3 of Section 1 in the Lake City Better Futures by-laws was repealed - thus removing the age limitations on membership in the group.  Members must be 18 years of age or older.  Current members discussed the historical reasoning behind the age limits and how bringing on both younger and older members can help LCBF move forward.
